Probes for Suspended Solids

Professional suspended solids measurement probes

Introduction

The monitoring of suspended solids in industrial and wastewater treatment is useful for process control or as an indicator of abnormal conditions.

SEKO supports operators with our premium-grade suspended solids probes, designed specifically for the needs of modern water-treatment processes.

Sensors for suspended solids are optical devices that operate in the infrared range. Unlike turbidity probes, they use “backdiffusion” to allow the detection of suspended solids larger than those found by turbidity sensors and to measure the concentration.

Operation using infrared light ensures a very long sensor life and minimizes the effects of colour change in the sample.
